Duri Majovsky

I am a general contractor remodeling homes and businesses in the US for over 20 years. I've built sailboat interiors, designed office spaces and remodeled restaurants and bars. But mostly I've helped homeowners. Be it a custom-built kitchen, a patio, a ceiling fan installation or a new addition, I create comfortable and worry-free environments for my clients.

My introduction to my craft was helping my father, mother and older brother construct our family log house in the Čergov Mountains of Slovakia. I honed my skills working with master cabinetmakers and builders.

I arrived in the US in the early 1990s, established Duri Inc. and began to build a new clientele. In 2002 Leslie McMahon joined me. She brought with her competent construction skills and a distinctive artistic sense. Since then, word-of-mouth referrals have seen us working across the country on projects to make the functional become beautiful. We are now based on Whidbey Island where in my free time I again get to ski in the mountains and graft trees in my orchard. In her free time, Leslie might be baking European pastries, working on her painting or making papier-mâché piñatas.
